This program offers non-nursing university graduates a second career pathway while helping to cultivate professional nursing talent and address the ongoing workforce shortage. Students’ diverse backgrounds support clearer career development, which is expected to result in high employment and retention rates. Guided by the philosophy of providing holistic, continuous, and high-quality care to enhance public well-being, the program integrates academic and industry resources to prepare nursing professionals with humanistic care, professional competence, and the DAYEH spirit of willingness to learn, to act, to contribute, and to take responsibility.
We cultivate students to become competent nurses who possess the qualities of challenge, responsibility, and transformation, as well as strong employment competitiveness. They are equipped with core professional competencies, including evidence-based care, communication and collaboration, ethical and compassionate practice, critical thinking, self-directed learning, perseverance and accountability, international vision, and basic management skills. Throughout their education, we emphasize the integration of theory and practice to prepare professional nursing talent needed by the health-care system.
During the program, we reinforce academic learning, clinical practicum, and industry collaboration with nearby health-care institutions. Students are guided to engage in early part-time clinical work and obtain required certifications, supporting their successful employment and smooth adaptation to the workplace.
